SKVIS is a women’s society in West Bengal, founded in 1978 to alleviate rural poverty. It has acted as a catalyst for community development activities by encouraging the formation of many groups at the village level. It is committed to ensuring livelihoods for the women in the region through spinning, weaving, printing and other crafts. They focus on women, through education and self help.
