Ruro Agro Services Association or RASA was set up in 1991 by Sasha as a wellness imitative.. RASA is a Trust that trains women from rural and marginalized sections to manufacture hair and body care products and gourmet spices from pure, organic and natural raw materials. The range of Rasa products are marketed through Sasha. Retaining its trademark emphasis on naturally inspired products using traditional recipes, Sasha brings to you a series of products that offer a holistic approach to contemporary living. The ‘RASA’ range takes its name from the classical emotions of Sanskrit literature, feelings that are very ‘Indian’.
The word ‘Rasa’ means the mind’s response, the feeling of vitality and the sensibility to a certain’taste’, the spice of life. The personal care product range from the Rasa stable offers natural essential oils (pure and blended), water-based facial creams, hand-made soaps and bath salts. Like other organizations, affiliated to Sasha, RASA is committed to Fair Trade practices and ecologically sustainable production processes. It encourages employment in the rural communities and markets their produce both nationally and internationally. The products are not tested on animals. Nor do they contain any harmful chemical additives or preservatives.
