FTCI-Delhi (Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India Ltd.) was previously called TRSHH (Tibetan Refugee Self Help Handicrafts). TRSHH was formed in 1981 as a Tibetan Refugee organization to promote and export Tibetan carpets and Handicrafts. In 1985 TRSHH started working in the Fair Trade circle.
FTCI Export Unit Delhi (formerly known as TRSHH) is an export branch of the Federation. It shares all the objectives & principles of Fair Trade for being a partner in making this world a better place.
Mission :
– To be an ethical, fair and responsible organization for customers, employees, suppliers, society and the environment.
– To grow as an effective fair trade supplier of food, handicrafts and allied products.
– To make positive endeavors towards the preservation of Tibetan art, culture and traditions and thereby contribute towards the economic development of the Tibetan Diaspora.
-To be the frontline marketing arm of Federation for the purpose of developing sustainable markets for the products of the member co- operative societies.
