CSWS is working in Purba and Paschim Medinipur, Purulia & Bankura districts in the state West Bengal. Its mission is to promote people’s organization to ensure a holistic & sustainable development process.
Their objectives is to raise people’s awareness through imparting education for children as well as the adults, to mobilize local resources and optimum utilization through sensitization and accelerating peoples initiatives, to improve health status of people through preventive, promote curative health care services, to raise the standard of living of the people through promotion of alternative methods and to accelerate the pace of development through equal participation of women in socio economic fields.
They are supported by both government and non-government partners- Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Department of Women & Child Development. Development Commissioner(Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, GOI, District Industries Centre, DRD Cell, WBWDU, NABARD, TRIFED, COHANDS, M&SSE, MSME and ICDS.
